The next meeting of Upper Midwest Alpacas
August 1st, 2009
Lunch at noon, Meeting begins at 1:00 PM

The meeting location will be at the United Methodist Church in North Branch on Hwy 95 like 2 years ago. Directions coming soon:

Lunch will be about $10 per person. Email your RSVP to Rachel Wiberg at athensalpacas@yahoo.com by July 25th, 2009. If you are coming for lunch and meeting, use "August 2009 Meeting Lunch RSVP" as the subject. Otherwise, if you are coming for the meeting only use "August 2009 Meeting Only RSVP" as the subject. If you are coming for lunch, please choose a sandwich from the following website: Jimmy Johns. Include the sandwich choice on the email to Rachel.

Anyone interested in alpacas is welcome to join us and find out about our group. We will review past events and share details about the upcoming alpaca events.

Minnesota State Fair Alpaca Booth
August 27 - September 7, 2009

The public is invited to stop by the Alpaca Booth at the Minnesota State Fair. The booth is located in front of the Coliseum building. There will be live alpacas at the booth for all to see and learn about from the folks who raise alpacas. You will also have the opportunity to learn about and purchase items made from alpaca fiber.

Upper Midwest Alpacas Farm Tour 2009
September 26 & 27, 2009

Farms across the upper midwest (and the entire nation) will welcome you into theirbarns. Bring the wholefamily and make a day of visiting farms and learning about alpacas. There issure to be a farmparticipating near you.

Alpacas are making history with our 3rd Annual Alpaca Halter & Fleece Show. Due to Easter we will be moving to the 2nd weekend in April of 2010. Mark your calendars.

This is a truly unique venture for the whole family. You’ve simply never had the opportunity to attend a true Alpaca event in Minnesota of this nature and now you can. Their big beautiful eyes, phenomenal colors and gentle disposition will grab your attention. They are wonderful in presence with one of the most luxurious fibers of many colors, known to man. The splendor of Alpacas has won many hearts of all ages. The humming sounds will have you grinning from ear to ear.

Vendors at the Expo are not the norm! We were able to design a different and unusual array of shopping. This is a must see!

WARNING: Alpaca can cause uncontrollable smiles, warm fuzzy feeling and may be addictive!
